Monica S. Flores is an author, advocate, activist, and a principal and co-founder of 10K Group, a firm specializing in developing effective, engaging websites for successful women in business, membership groups, and progressive organizations. She is an expert in explaining technical solutions in practical terms for women business owners.Because of Monica's deep skills in communication, technology, and education, she works tirelessly on behalf of clients. A former programmer, Monica has extensive experience and she works directly with leaders in the entrepreneurial and philanthropic communities, in the Asian Pacific American community, and in politics.
Flores blogs at Sisters in Biz and A Successful Woman. She has worked for over a decade to create infrastructure, tools, connections, and support for women.
She was an original team member for The Odyssey World Trek for Service and Education, one of the first global multimedia educational websites, where she visited over 30 countries to support youth. She was a co-founder for APA for Progress, the first internet-based Asian Pacific American advocacy group. She has always been interested in the World Wide Web as a way to connect people and create communities.
She actively mentors young women through her alumni, Cornell University and through CEO Women. She lives with her family in Hawai'i.
